๐Ÿš€ Custodian is Now Live on Itch.io!


After two weeks of development (and three extra days spent agonizing over balance), Custodian is finally available on Itch.io! The launch was a bit delayed, but as it turns out, balancing is the hardest part of game development. ๐Ÿ˜…

In Custodian, you'll defend against waves of meteors using nothing but your words. Survive for 3 minutes, and you'll win—but if you keep going, the game evolves in exciting ways! There are secrets, upgrades, and even a few hidden nods to some of the awesome community members.

What surprised me during testing is that players with both low and high WPM (words per minute) had a wide range of experiences—some with slower typing speeds did really well, while some with faster speeds struggled. So I'm really curious to know how the game feels for you! Is it too hard? Too easy? Any suggestions? Your feedback will help make the game even better!

๐ŸŒฑ A Journey of Iterative Learning

Releasing Custodian is just another step in my journey of learning things iteratively. Every project I create is a chance to build something small and get a little better each time. With each game I make, I aim to increase the scope, challenge myself more, and hopefully improve the quality. It's been a great experience learning how to balance game mechanics, design engaging experiences, and improve my skills as a developer!
